Open Canvas Account Settings
Go to your Canvas profile โ†’ Settings โ†’ scroll to Approved Integrations

Generate a New Access Token
Click "+ New Access Token", name it "Holon Flashcards", no expiry

Copy the token and paste it here โ€” it's stored securely

For Instructors

  • Create Deck โ€” Use AI (paste notes), upload a CSV template, or type cards manually.
  • Edit Cards โ€” Click any deck โ†’ Edit to update front/back/hint/category inline.
  • Assign & Grade โ€” Set a mastery threshold and min passes. Grades post to Canvas automatically when students qualify.
  • Template โ€” Download the CSV template from Create โ†’ Upload. Columns: Front, Back, Hint, Category.

For Students

  • Click a deck to start studying. Tap the card to reveal the answer.
  • Mark each card โœ“ Got It or โœ— Still Learning.
  • Complete the required passes at or above the threshold to earn your grade.

Canvas Token

The Canvas API token is required for grade passback. Go to Settings (โš™) to add or update your token. Generate one from Canvas โ†’ Account โ†’ Settings โ†’ Approved Integrations โ†’ + New Access Token.
